A recent law school graduated name Lauren Giddings confessed to her friends one night that she thought she was being stalked. Lauren and her friends were celebrating their recent graduation and freedom when she told them why she believed that someone was breaking into her apartment and touching her things. However, her friends thought she was being dramatic.
Lauren was right, someone had been stalking her. And the night that they were celebrating was the last night they would ever see her.
Who was Lauren Giddings?
Lauren was a passionate, motivated, and determined person. She graduated high school in 2002 and moved from Maryland to Georgia for college. She attended Agnes Scott college and graduated in 2006 with a degree in political science. She was the first member of her family to attend college so her parents were extremely proud of her. It wasn’t long after graduating that she decided she wanted to further her education by going to law school.
Her dream was to become a public defender so that she could help others. She loved to wear pink and she always had her dog Butter Bean with her. Lauren began dating a man named David who was quite a bit older than her. Their relationship was on and off and Lauren found that she didn’t have much time to give David. Lauren began talking to another guy in her program name Joe. Lauren tried to move on from David but there was something about him that she just couldn’t let go of. So, she broke up with Joe after a brief fling and went back to David. Their on-and-off relationship continued.
Lauren graduated from law school in 2011. She knew the bar exam was coming shortly after and she knew she needed to study. Lauren and her friends decided to have one last celebratory night before the studying began.
Her disappearance
On Friday night, June 24th, 2011, Lauren and her friends went to a local bar. They drank, had a few laughs, and then went back to Lauren’s friend Ashley’s place to continue their fun. Joe, Lauren’s ex, was a roommate of Ashley’s and was there that night. Lauren ended up sleeping in Joe’s room that night but no one knows what happened behind his closed door.
