Serial Killer in Tampa Bay Area Caught After DNA Testing
The case of Tony Ables

Born on December 28th, 1954, Tony Alvin Ables killed a man in cold blood when he was just fifteen years old.
Not much is known about the early life of Tony, but while this was his first murder, it would not be his last. Here is what we know about the four murders that initially got him the death penalty.
First murder
Tony committed a robbery in 1970 in St. Petersburg, Florida when he was fifteen years old. During the robbery, he killed an innocent man. Shortly after, Tony was apprehended and put on trial. Tony pled guilty to first-degree murder in March of 1970 and was sentenced to life in prison.
Obviously, that didn’t stick because he went on to kill three more victims.
Tony was released after 12 years in 1983 because the justice system is stupid. He got a job as a construction worker but remained on parole after being released.
Second murder
It took Tony precisely six months after being released to decide he wanted to kill again. On June 25th that year, he broke into the apartment of an 83-year-old woman named Adeline McLaughlin. The woman was a retired widow from Massachusetts who lived alone.
Tony brought through one of her windows and suffocated her with a pillow. He then proceeded to tear through her apartment and take anything he wanted. This murder scared the community as Adeline was a pleasant and friendly woman who mostly kept to herself.
Third murder and escalation
Tony went on to sexually assault his girlfriend on Valentine's day in 1987 four years later. Not much is known about Deborah Kisor but one source claims she was burdened by mental health issues that Tony may have taken advantage of.
Deborah was last seen the day before her murder making a phone call at a payphone near her apartment building in Monterey, California. Her body was found by someone walking along a path near Roser Park Bridge. She was found wearing only a blouse and a jacket with nothing on her legs, which were covered in bruises. There was also a pair of jeans next to her body.
